Building Muscle - You need to Train, Eat and Rest

Bodybuilding is the process of building muscle. But how do you build muscle? It’s a common question and this article will explain how to build muscle properly within the least amount of time. It wasted 2 years at the gym with barely any gains in muscle mass until I started following these simple steps. In order to gain muscle you need to Train, Eat and Rest.

TRAIN

When you train you want to use proper form and use a weight you can handle. Start slowly and gradually work your way up the weights. I’ve seen so many people get injured from weights and the most common cause is they’re lifting a weight that is too heavy for their body. Using proper form will also isolate the muscle group your working instead of your whole body.
During training keep a 6-12 rep range and try to do 4 sets on each exercise. This way you can burn your muscle so when it repairs your muscles grow bigger and stronger.
A common mistake people make when training is they don’t stay properly hydrated. Make sure you have enough water in your body because when you train you lose fluids and have to replenish them. Train until you fail, take your body to the limit in order to see significant gains.

EAT

When training the most important nutrients for your body is carbohydrates and protein. Carbohydrates are your main energy source while protein is the building block of your muscles. Consume at least 3kg of protein per kg of body weight. Your diet should consist of 55% carbohydrates, 20% protein and 15% fats.
Don’t over eat because your only going to put on weight. You must consume enough calories throughout the day so your body can burn off the food you eat not your muscles.

REST

Muscles need at least 48hours of rest before you train the same muscle again. Over training is the worst thing you can do so keep a proper routine of what muscles you train each day of the week and never double up muscle when they are still sore. When muscles are sore it’s a good sign they haven’t recovered properly.
Your workouts should be between 45mins – 1hour and no longer. Again this is overtraining if you go longer your just going to lose muscle.
